MORE ODDS & ENDS

Boobs

A parenting magazine recently found itself in hot water for putting a picture of a baby drinking from an exposed breast on it's cover. (Not the picture above - I couldn't find it, sorry). You've got to love a country where it's okay for Pamela Anderson and Christina Aguilera (to name just two) to sling their tatas everywhere, but when a breast is being shown doing what IT WAS DESIGNED FOR it causes an uproar. It reminds of the great Super Bowl Boob Controversy--it's okay for NFL cheerleaders to shake their bosoms in front of the camera but when Janet Jackson exposes her breast complete with nipple ring (for a total of less than one second) it causes the greatest TV controversy and largest FCC fine in history.

America is, first and foremost, a nation of contradictions to say the least.

Housekeeping

Not that anyone out there cares, but I've been thinking about the continuing "retrofit" of this blog and I've decided to break it down as such: every week, I will try to blog at least three times. Blog #1 (on Monday or Tuesday) will be about current events, blog #2 (probably Wednesday) will cover my thoughts on the world of entertainment and pop culture and blog #3 (most likely Friday, sometimes Saturday) will be about the wide world of sports. Any additional blogs will be like something out of a cornucopia--you don't know what you might get. If you want to see anything in particular, drop me a line and I'll try to incorporate it.

Now blogger.com is about to do some updating, so I've gotta go. See you in a day or two with some entertainment musings.

Peace!
