Hey y'all...sorry about the lack of recent posts. I've been very busy trying to deal with possibly buying a condo, family issues and just general Working For the Man. I also recently celebrated my first anniversary with Tracy (I was going to post a picture from the fabulous BroAdmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, but being the technological nitwit that I can sometimes be, I accidentally deleted the picture. Trust me, we were there and it was nice!)
A couple of quick thoughts:
**All this back and forth about who would make a better opponent for John McCain in November sometimes ignores the most salient truth about Campaign '08--the GOP has their man, they have the time to hone their message and stockpile huge amounts of cash for the fall. Hillary and Barack are both excellent candidates each with some obvious flaws, but if the nomination isn't decided by June 1st the Democrats will not take back the White House.
**The older I get the more I get frustrated with the rampant stupidity of too many people. Apparently these days, thinkin' is increasingly optional.
**You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family. Ultimately, I've been a very lucky man in choosing my friends (even if I don't always show it properly) and for better or worse I cherish them in a way I will probably never cherish my family.
**Quote of the Week from Tracy--"Two things I can't stand are hatin' and frontin'." Amen to that!
Coming by this weekend, the long overdue baseball preview for 2008 and some movie and TV comments.
Peace...

Reg,
First, to Tracy's quote, all I can say is "True dat!"
Happy Belated Anniversary - I would have been on time with this, but as you said about "workin for the man"...
Last, but not least, I have been very fortunate in my friends as well. The truth is that you're more family than friend.
Again, "True dat!"
Z
