THE FALL GUY

Down goes Libby...Down goes Libby!

It doesn't have quite the ring of Howard Cosell saying "Down goes Frazier!", but it has a nice ring to it. Of course, most of us know that "Scooter" Libby (are you kidding us with that name?) is only the fall guy for Dick and Bush, and unfortunately, its unlikely that either of them will ever see their day in court for outing an undercover agent, manufacturing phony intelligence and leading America into war on false pretenses.

(To those who say that the War and Occupation of Iraq can't be an all bad thing because we did depose, capture and engineer the execution of a vicious dictator, I would argue, well why didn't we go get him before 2003? We knew he'd gassed Kurds, tortured his own citizens and repressed civil liberties but Donald Rumsfeld shook his hand and sold him weapons back in the 80's back when he was one of the "good" bad guys in our constant cold war against Iran. So, as Dr. Phil is fond of saying, "that dog don't hunt.")

Still, a win is a win I guess. Even Republicans are getting more and more embarrassed by their president. The only question is--how do we start to clean up this mess?

Slow Sperm, Fast Sleaze

Hollywood Rag, a blog you may wish you were reading instead of this one (come on! What could be better than The R Spot?!) is reporting this story about how O.J. Simpson is now claiming he may be the father of Anna Nicole's baby. Judge for yourself, but my suspicion is that O.J. just wants the money and figures he can't possibly be more hated than he already is, so what the heck?

Quick List of the Day

How about your ten favorite science fiction themed films of all time? Have we done this one before? It seems familiar. I really need to get a research staff.

Here's mine, off the top of my head:

1. The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
3. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
4. Children of Men (2006)
5. Alien (1979)
6. Blade Runner (1981)
7. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
8. E.T. (1982)
9. Star Trek: First Contact (1999)
10. Star Wars (1977)

Please, I beg you, share yours...

Until next time - PEACE!
