Just a quick post today in response to an anonymous comment about yesterday's post of my favorite TV shows for 2007:
"Only an honorable mention for Dexter? Dexter is by far the best show on television."
Thanks for your comment and believe me, DEXTER is one of the most vividly filmed, well-acted shows I've seen on TV. As it got a little farther away from the first couple of episodes I noticed that (for me) it was becoming a little bit less about Dexter's dark dual nature and tortured psyche and more like a hyperstylized version of CSI, but I still think it's a great show and in time it should get better. Look at my list--DEADWOOD and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT will all be off the air after 2007, so I expect DEXTER will definitely take one of those positions. For me, it just wasn't quite there yet.
Sixty-three more dead in Iraq today in a dual bombing while Bush "considers" his Iraq options. Ain't that like Nero fiddling while Rome burns?
