I'll be in San Diego Saturday and starting Sunday (or even Saturday night if I can find a convenient wiFi connection) I'll be blogging about what I've seen and any scoops I've encountered. Bomb of the Summer - Non-Israeli Division

I'm going out on a limb (not really) and based on what I've seen and heard I'm predicting that LADY IN THE WATER (release date 7/21) will go down as the box office bomb of the summer. Not only that, it may be the worst movie that will come out this summer (SNAKES ON A PLANE doesn't count -- it's aiming to be bad and it's marketing campaign capitalizes on the film's innate cheesiness and campiness. LADY IN THE WATER, like all of M. Night Shamaylan's films, takes itself deadly seriously.)

Another prediction -- "narf", which is species that the mermaid character is supposed to represent in LADY IN THE WATER, will become one of the summer's punchlines. You read it here.

A request--if anyone knows where I can download the footage of President Bush grabbing German chancellor Angela Merkel's shoulders at the G8 summit (as featured on last night's DAILY SHOW), please share it with me so I can post it. Topping off another priceless week for our Dumbfuck-in-Chief, the clip is funny and creepy.
