I AM CYNIC, HEAR ME BORE...

Just a quick thought: has anyone out there ever seen that weird strip/video show on the Fuse network? I don't even know what it's called, except that they run marathons of it on Saturday night apparently, and the whole concept is that regular viewers write or call in and volunteer to dance and strip down to their skivvies (or worse) to some of the top videos of the day. Without fail, every person that does this is a geeky, unattractive weirdo (often from the greater New York City area - go figure) with no dance moves, no physique and an all-encompassing self-absorption that would make Paris Hilton blush. And this show is apparently a cult hit. I am so unhip. I just don't get it. I was disturbed that I'd run across it and it actually soured my whole weekend. Oh well...you can fill an encyclopedia with the list of pop cultural trends and happenings that I don't get.

Coming attractions include my yearly end of the season TV wrapup, my thoughts on Coca-Cola Blak (hint: not good) and more. Oh, and I'll be in one of our nation's biggest "red" states next week for vacation, so wish me luck.

Bush Knew About Katrina

What A Shock! People who don't watch the Weather Channel knew what Hurricane Katrina was going to do. Little babies in their cribs knew. Even Bill O'Reilly knew New Orleans was in big trouble and his dumb ass doesn't know anything! So, gee, what a shock, the Bush Administration has been lying to us again. New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but to lay what happened to New Orleans solely at his feet and the feet of state officials is dishonest, corrupt and downright sociopathic. Bush's approval ratings are at an all time low of 31%. I'm wondering--who the hell is the 31%?! What is wrong with those people?
