According to the results of a three-year study due to be published tomorrow in the National Academy of Sciences, more than two-thirds of wild chimpanzees at a reserve in Tanzania used were predominately left-handed when using tools to fish for termites.
President George W. Bush, in addition to having large, chimpanzee-like ears, is also left-handed.
When presented with this information, scientists at the Yerkes Primate Research Center at Emory University (authors of the study) had no immediate comment.
